Meet the Dockmaster.

Tom Kennelly will be a Certified Captain in March 2013, and brings more than 7 years of boating and maritime experience to Danfords Marina located on Port Jefferson Harbor at Danfords Hotel and Marina, a contemporary harbor-side retreat. A graduate of Farmingdale State University with a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering and pursing FE certification, and a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Tom has been at Danfords since 2006 and was the Assistant Dockmaster since 2011. He has also worked successfully in and around other departments at Danfords including 5 years in Marina Maintenance. Tom has impressive experience in building fixed docks, staircases ascending bluffs, breakwalls, floating docks, piers and piling installation. Tom was born in Port Jefferson and is a Certified Scuba Diver.

As Danfords Dockmaster, Tom is charged with the responsibility of managing the dock, providing a range of personal services from sharing knowledge of the area to helping boaters chart the best course to their next destination, and serving as a source of information. Kennelly and his team are not only experts in docking each arriving boat in its proper slip, but also ensuring that each boaters's experience is a great one.
