Wave Restaurant & Lounge Replaces 25 East American Bistro

WAVE Restaurant & Lounge replaces 25 East American Bistro at Danfords Hotel & Marina, 25 E. Broadway, Port Jefferson, 631-928-5200. The waterside restaurant, decorated in a contemporary nautical motif, features both indoor and outdoor dining within view of the harbor. Executive chef Paul Govin has been in charge of dining at Danfords for the past nine years. His updated New American menu includes an appetizer bento box for two with tuna nigiri, a "Wave" roll, a spicy tuna maki roll and pickled ginger. For an entree, there's Gorgonzola and pine-nut-crusted Chilean sea bass and herb-rubbed New York shell steak. One finale is an ice cream sandwich "flight" in black cherry, tiramisu and toasted-coconut flavors.
