After dark, there are lots of places to go out on Long Island. But in the end, most of us want to be where everyone else is, right?
From crowded dance clubs to spots with live music to summer-only beach bars, here's a look at some of Long Island's most popular hot spots.
Going Dancing:
AQUA:
WHERE: 25 East Broadway, Port Jefferson (at Danfords Hotel & Marina)
PEAK TIME: After 10:30pm Fridays
INFO: 631-928-5200, aquanightclub.com
COVER: $10.00
WHY IT'S HOT: One of the newest "reborn" nightspots on the Island, the 25-and-older crowd arrives in droves to party on both floors of the bi-level venue. Downstairs, the Wave room serves as a busy taps lounge. Upstairs, popular LI DJ Jenny Costa spins dance, hit music and hip-hop. With a small outdoor deck that overlooks the harbor, an atrium, two bars and a fairly large dance floor, it's no surprise that this nautical-themed place is packed.
